Bio of Carlton Whatley
In 1996, Carlton established his computer and technology consulting business in Asheville, North Carolina, and to date
has served thousands of satisfied clients. Prior to this, Carlton developed his organizational and technical talents by starting and operating a part-time computer business in 1987
that formed the backbone of his current and extensive consulting work.
In 1984, he attended Del Mar College in Corpus Christi Texas and studied computer programming. While in college, Carlton worked as
an assistant with a taxidermist and operated a part-time photography business specializing in weddings and portraits. After
graduation in 1987, Carlton was hired by the 800,000 acre King Ranch in Kingsville Texas as a computer programmer and was soon
promoted to PC Manager. His responsibilities included purchasing, installing, and tech support for all PCs at the Ranch. After two
years with the King Ranch, he was hired by Spohn Christus Health System in Corpus Christi Texas, as their computer Technical Support
Specialist
Prior to his technical career, he attended Texas A&M University in Kingsville Texas where he studied pre-nursing for one year.
He then attended and graduated from Del Mar College School of Vocational Nursing in 1975 and specialized in ICU
and Emergency Room. After 10 years in the medical field, new career interests led Carlton into the computer field.
Carlton was born in July of 1954 and raised in Robstown Texas, a small town near Corpus Christi. The youngest of four children, he
was a Boy Scout and he enjoyed science classes in Middle and High School, and also played alto-saxophone in the marching band.
Carlton loves living in the mountains of North Carolina. He has the highest regard and respect for everything in nature and for
planet Earth and all her inhabitants. He loves to travel internationally and learn of different cultures and languages. Most of all he
enjoys helping people in every way he can.
