Carlton was born in July of 1954 and raised near Corpus Christi Texas. The youngest of four children, he enjoyed science classes the
most in Middle and High School and also played alto-saxophone in the marching band. After High School he pursued training
as a nurse and specialized in ICU and Emergency Room. After 10 years as a nurse, a career change led Carlton into the
computer field. While in college studying computer programming, Carlton worked as an assistant with a taxidermist and operated a
photography business specializing in weddings and portraits. After college Carlton was hired by the King Ranch in Kingsville, TX as
a computer programmer and was soon promoted to PC Manager. His responsiblities included purchasing, installing and tech support
for all PCs at the Ranch. After almost two years with the Ranch, he returned to work as the Technical Support Specialist at the same
hospital where he had worked as a nurse. Even before graduating from college in 1987, he started a part-time consulting business that he
continued to operate. In 1994, after 6 years and two promotions with the hospital, he stopped doing the
nine-to-five grind and devoted his energies to working full time on the consulting business. He moved to Asheville North Carolina in July of
1996, and calls it his home. He loves the mountains and everything in nature and has the highest regard and respect for planet Earth and all
her inhabitants. He loves to travel internationally and learn of different cultures and languages. Most of all he enjoys helping people in
any way he can.
